At feeling pretty
I'm not known for wearing make up or putting on pretty dresses. I look and act tomboyish, and I'm happy with this. I don't socialize and I try not to care how others around me view me. Still, every once in a while, even I want to try the whole "feeling pretty" thing. People do compliment me from time to time (though truth be told I have no idea what they're looking at or why me. There are lots of other girls that are far "prettier" than I) but it makes me feel odd. I try and stay away from it as best I can.
So, every once in a while, when the house is all empty and I'm sure no one can see me, I put on my fav dress (I own two) and put on a touch of makeup. It's fun to look and act like a princess when no one else can see.
So yeah, it's not a pitiful thing or a bad thing. It's just a thing. Not everyone wants to be tough all the time. It's fun to act like a girly girl once in a very long while. *^_^*

This is late, but since I see it I'd like to weigh in.
Julip my daughter's mother... she never wore make-up or dresses much, for two reasons.
1) She always complained she was uncomfortable... that she didn't feel like herself. Said she always felt like she was pretending to be someone else. And
2) Because I didn't like it. When she wore make-up and those stupid dresses. She didn't look like the person I fell in love with. And I wanted to see who I loved all the time, not someone all dressed up. Besides, how the hell are you going to go and have fun when you have to worry about messing up a dress or messing up your make up?
But that was just her. If you want to do that when you are alone, because it makes you feel good. Do it. Because one of the most important thinks in life... is to keep yourself happy. And to keep those that make you happy happy. Easy Peasy.
